Mobile air-to-air heat pump MW40
Product code (SKU): 804010001Mobile air-to-air heat pump MW40
A mobile air-to-air heat pump blows warm air into construction sites and other temporary spaces. The plug-in model is quick to install and perfect for temporary needs. Installed outdoors, the heat pump circulates air and warms the interior quickly to the desired temperature.
A mobile air-to-air heat pump works on the same principle as the pumps used in homes, except that here the outdoor and indoor units are in the same package. A hose (ø 525 mm) is connected to the pump, through which warm air is blown under high pressure from the outdoor unit into the interior, and a second hose draws air from inside to the pump to be heated. The condensate hose is heated so it cannot freeze.
Mobile heat pump MW40 is a 42.4 kW plug-in air-to-air heat pump that blows warm air into construction sites and other temporary spaces. You install the pump outdoors, and it operates at outdoor temperatures of -20…+25 °C.

Mobile heat pump MW40 – how it works
The pump works on the same principle as household air-to-air heat pumps. However, the outdoor and indoor units come in the same package.
One ø 525 mm hose blows warm air into the interior under high pressure. A second hose, in turn, draws air from inside back to the pump for heating.
The condensate hose is heated, so it does not freeze in sub-zero weather. The hose heating, however, needs its own 230 V / 16 A supply.

Efficiency, air transfer and model choice
A special feature is the high heating efficiency. For example, the COPh at +7 °C is 3.07.
In frost, the efficiency drops: at -7 °C the COPh is 2.30. The seasonal efficiency SCOPh is 2.72.
Straight supply and return hoses can be up to 32 m long in total. However, corners and bends shorten the distance the warm air travels. If needed, you can boost the transfer with duct fans.
When you need double the output, choose the MW80: 96.7 kW and 16 000 m³/h. If you also need cooling, the alternative is the MWK40.
You can find all models on the mobile air-to-air heat pumps page.

Mobile heat pump MW40 – installation and control
The connection requires a 32 A supply for the pump and a 230 V / 16 A supply for the heated condensate pipe.
You install the pump on a level, firm base close to the building you heat. In addition, leave 2 m of free space at the sides of the pump for airflow.
You control the pump through a web browser. In the portal, you adjust the temperature and fan speed, set alarms and monitor efficiency.
Safety
The pump weighs 1080 kg. Therefore, use suitable lifting equipment for moving and lifting, and check the load-bearing capacity of the base before placement.
The IP44 enclosure protects against splashing water. A qualified refrigeration technician services the refrigerant circuit.
A qualified electrician makes the electrical connections. You can find the requirements for electrical work on the Tukes website.
