How the partial flow filter works

You connect the filter to the system in parallel, and approximately 10 % of the main flow passes through it. During circulation, all the water in the system therefore gradually passes through the filter.

The filter bag collects dirt, and the magnetic rods collect magnetite. As a result, both magnetic and non-magnetic impurities leave the system.

Clean circulating water reduces blockages and improves system efficiency. In addition, the heating or cooling system lasts longer.

Sideflow Clean 3.5L – sizing and choosing a size

This 3.5 litre model suits a system with a water volume of up to 70 000 l. The filtered flow is 0.8 l/s (2.88 m³/h), and the Kvs value is 17 m³/h.

The filter comes with a wall bracket. It has one magnetic rod, whereas the larger 5 litre model has two.

Sideflow Clean comes in two sizes. For larger systems of up to 120 000 litres, the other size is the Sideflow Clean 5L.

Installation, maintenance and other system parts

You fix the filter to the wall with the bracket. For example, you can install it for right-hand or left-hand operation to match the pipe route.

Installation and maintenance are quick. In addition, the insulation layer reduces heat losses at the filter.

The filter suits water and glycol solutions with a concentration of up to 50 %.

Sideflow Clean 3.5L – safety

The circulating water in the system can be hot and pressurised. Therefore, close the valves and release the pressure before you change the filter bag.

Stay within the stated operating pressure of 0.2–10.0 bar. A qualified plumber makes the pipe connections.
