The model is called 65L but removes 70 litres – why?

The capacity of a refrigerant dehumidifier is always stated at defined conditions, and manufacturers use different reference points.

This unit removes 70 litres per day at 30 °C and 80 % relative humidity. In cooler, drier air – 27 °C and 60 % relative humidity – the figure is 37 litres. Always compare numbers measured at the same conditions.

How to size the drying correctly

Sizing follows the volume of the space, the starting humidity and the target schedule – not floor area alone.

• Floor area and ceiling height of the space
• Moisture content of the structures and the target level
• Time available for drying
• Temperature in the space – capacity falls with the air temperature
• Air movement: fans speed up drying considerably

One person can move it

The unit weighs 44.5 kilograms, but large rubber wheels and a telescopic handle let it roll like a suitcase.

The moulded cabinet protects the corners against knocks and stands up to being moved around a site. Transport it upright. If it has been on its side, let it stand for two hours before starting so the compressor oil can settle.

Operation and maintenance on site

Place the Dehumidifier 65L PRO with pump on a level surface in the middle of the space and run the drain hose straight to a drain or outside. Close doors and windows so the unit dries the room and not the outdoor air.

Clean the filter weekly – a blocked filter drops the capacity quickly. At the same time check that the drain hose is not kinked or frozen. Blow the concrete dust off the cabinet and store the unit in the dry during site breaks.

R290 refrigerant keeps the environmental impact low

The refrigerant is propane, R290, whose global warming potential is very low compared with traditional HFC refrigerants.

The charge is small and the circuit is sealed. Efficiency is good and the unit still meets refrigerant requirements in the years ahead.
