Dehumidifier TK40 is a condensing dehumidifier from Kroll’s TK series, built for new construction, renovation work and drying after water damage. It removes 40 litres of moisture a day and moves 580 cubic metres of air per hour. The powder-coated steel housing stands up to site wear year after year.
Who is the Dehumidifier TK40 for?
The unit is built for construction sites, renovation projects, basements, storage rooms and restoration work after a water leak.
It suits cool or very damp spaces particularly well, because the operating range starts at zero degrees. If more capacity is needed, the TK60 in the same series is the next step up.
A wide operating range: 0–35 °C and 30–95 % RH
Many condensing dehumidifiers lose capacity as soon as the temperature falls below ten degrees. This model is built for a broader window.
It works from zero to 35 degrees and in relative humidity between 30 and 95 percent. On an unheated site or in a cold basement, that means drying can start earlier in the project.

The electric auxiliary heater speeds up drying
The unit has a built-in electric auxiliary heater that raises the room temperature when needed.
Warmer air carries more moisture, so drying runs faster once the temperature rises a few degrees. With the heater switched on, the power demand rises to 2.78 kilowatts, which is worth remembering when the site distribution board is sized.
Collection tank or drain hose?
The condensate is led either to the collection tank supplied or straight to a drain.
The tank is enough for short drying jobs and for sites with no drain nearby. For longer jobs a drain hose is fitted to the 12 mm connection, so nobody has to empty the tank. Installation is explained in the user manual.

Hot gas defrost keeps the capacity up
In cool air, frost forms on the evaporator and capacity drops. This unit defrosts automatically with hot gas.
Defrosting is quick and needs no action from the user. Fully automatic operation means the unit can be left running overnight and over the weekend. The LED display shows the running state clearly, and a running-hour meter is standard – useful in rental use.
The TK series: TK40 and TK60
The main difference between the models in the TK series is the drying capacity.
This model takes 40 litres a day and moves 580 cubic metres of air per hour. The TK60 takes 60 litres and 1,000 cubic metres. Choose the larger model when the area is big or the schedule is tight. The principles of moisture management during construction are collected in the Finnish Kuivaketju10 operating model.

Operation and maintenance on site
Place the unit on a level surface in the middle of the room and keep the intake and outlet clear. Close doors and windows so it dries the room and not the outdoor air.
Clean the long-life filter regularly – a blocked filter drops the capacity quickly. Check daily that the tank is not full or that the hose runs freely. A separate hygrostat is available as an accessory and starts the unit only when humidity rises above the set value.
Frequently asked questions
How much moisture does the Dehumidifier TK40 remove?
Capacity is 40 litres a day. Real capacity depends on temperature, humidity and how well sealed the space is.
Does it work in cold spaces?
Yes. The operating range starts at zero degrees and reaches 35, and the hot gas defrost keeps the evaporator free of ice.
Can the condensate go straight to a drain?
Yes. Instead of the collection tank, a drain hose is fitted to the 12 mm connection, so nobody has to empty the tank during drying.
What does the electric auxiliary heater do?
It raises the room temperature, which speeds up drying. With the heater on, the power demand is 2.78 kilowatts instead of 0.78.
Does the Dehumidifier TK40 have a running-hour meter?
Yes, a running-hour meter is standard. It makes the unit easy to invoice in rental use.
What is the difference between the TK40 and the TK60?
Capacity. This model takes 40 litres a day, the TK60 takes 60 with a considerably larger air flow. The housing and the way they are used follow the same TK series.
