The panel hoist lifts a plasterboard to the ceiling with one installer
Panel hoist Sprehn 3.20 m is a plasterboard hoist that lifts the board to a ceiling or wall without a second installer. The lifting height is up to 320 cm and the maximum load 70 kg, which covers ordinary room heights and board sizes. The loading height is 1.88 metres, so the board is placed on the hoist at a comfortable working height.
The product is part of our tool range and complements the other site supplies.
Chain drive and chain brake keep the lift under control
The lift runs on a chain drive that raises the board quickly and evenly. The built-in chain brake stops the top from dropping unintentionally while the board is being fixed in place. The ergonomic crank wheel with an extra grip keeps the working position comfortable throughout the lift.
Smart-Stop and five rubber wheels
The Smart-Stop function in the foot is designed for moving plasterboards: the board travels with the hoist from one work point to the next. Five rubber wheels make moving easy, and two of them lock so the hoist stands firmly during the lift.

Splits into three parts for transport
The hoist splits into three parts without tools, so it fits into a smaller van and stores neatly between sites.
Accessories extend the use
- Drill holder (2500570) – ceiling drilling without holding the machine, and dust-free drilling is easier to arrange.
- Sander holder (2500576) – sanding ceilings and walls becomes lighter, and the long guide arm improves control.
- Panel hoist with tilt (2154547) – the same hoist with a tilt function when the board needs to be angled.
Where the panel hoist fits
The panel hoist is intended for indoor work where boards are lifted repeatedly: plasterboard ceilings and walls, acoustic panels and vapour barrier installation. Repeated lifting above shoulder height is one of the most common causes of musculoskeletal strain in construction, and EU-OSHA recommends lifting aids for exactly these tasks.

Frequently asked questions
How heavy a board can the panel hoist lift?
The maximum load is 70 kg. A standard 13 mm plasterboard weighs about 10–12 kg per square metre, so individual boards are well within the capacity.
Is the lifting height enough for a normal room?
Yes. The lifting height is 320 cm, which covers ordinary residential and commercial ceiling heights.
Does the hoist fit in a van?
Yes. The hoist splits into three parts and fits into a smaller vehicle.
Does the panel hoist need maintenance?
Keep the chain lubricated and correctly tensioned – it should move about one centimetre. This keeps the lift running smoothly and extends the service life.
