The Power adapter 16A–32A suits situations where only a 16A supply is available. However, the device or machine has a 32A plug.

For example, it helps with temporary connections and on sites that use rented equipment.

If you need the opposite conversion, choose the Power adapter 32A–16A instead.

Power adapter 16A–32A in practice on site

The adapter solves a common site problem: the supply point and the device plug differ in size. With the adapter, you can use the device without changing the cable or the supply.

However, the load after the adapter must not exceed the rated current of the smaller connector. Also support the connection, so that the connectors take no pulling force.

How to choose the right model

First, the choice starts from the size of the supply point. Take the size that matches the most common supply point on your site, so you need the fewest adapters.

Also think about how many adapters the site needs at once. After all, one unit next to the board is not enough when work points are on several floors.

Power adapter 16A–32A – safety

Always connect the adapter to a socket with 30 mA RCD protection. Never leave it hanging from the socket, because it is for supported use. The product is made in the EU and designed for hard use.

Before every use, check the enclosure for cracks, the connectors for burn marks and the cable for crush damage. Replace a damaged unit completely, because the IP rating no longer applies if the casing is broken.
