Extension cable 16A 20m – design and cable

The extension cable is made of H07RN-F 5×2.5mm² rubber cable, which withstands site conditions and outdoor use. In addition, it has a 1 x 16A socket at the end.

H07RN-F is a flexible rubber cable for a rated voltage of 450/750 V. Its rubber sheath stays flexible and withstands mechanical stress on site.

A three-phase extension cable carries 400 V three-phase power from the distribution board to a three-phase device. The 5×2.5mm² cable has five conductors: three phases, neutral and protective earth.

Choose a length that reaches from the board to the device without extra joints. After all, every joint is a potential fault point.

Choose the extension cable rating according to the plug of the device and the outlet of the distribution board. The socket of the extension cable must match the plug of the device. However, if the device and outlet differ in size, use a suitable adapter. Through an adapter, the device must not draw more current than its weakest part can carry.

When the cable is not in use, coil it loosely and store it dry. Therefore, the sheath and connectors stay in good condition for the next site.
