Barrel heater 1500W – operation

You immerse the heating element in water, and the thermostat keeps the water at the selected temperature. The setting range is +30…+90 °C.

Mortar needs unfrozen water in winter. When the barrel stays warm, however, nobody has to carry water from heated rooms.

The acid-resistant steel element and the weather-resistant rubber cable withstand site conditions. In addition, the IP67 enclosure keeps the heater durable in demanding environments.

Commissioning

Immerse the heating element in water before you switch on the heater. The immersion depth is 80 cm, and at least 40 cm of the element must be under water.

Select a suitable temperature on the thermostat. As a result, the thermostat holds the water at that temperature, and you do not need to adjust the heating by hand.

Check the water level regularly, because evaporation and use lower it.

The heater has a 0.3-metre connection cable. Therefore, you need a socket next to the barrel or an extension cable from our range.

Safety

Always connect the Barrel heater 1500W to an earthed socket, preferably one with a 30 mA residual current device (RCD). The RCD cuts the power if the insulation fails.

Do not use the heater without sufficient immersion, because the element must not run above the water surface. A qualified electrician makes the electrical connections. You can read about the requirements for electrical work on the Tukes website.
