The vortex copes with solids

The STP-TOP32VGM is a drainage pump with a vortex impeller. In a vortex design the impeller does not touch the pumped material directly but creates a swirl that carries solids through. That is exactly why the pump does not clog the way an ordinary drainage pump does.

Flow rate 170 l/min

Power is 0.37 kW and the flow rate 170 litres per minute, with a head of 7 metres. The outlet takes a 1 inch and a 1¼ inch hose connector.

Which model to choose

If the water is relatively clean and more head is needed, choose the STP-TOP32 (401010029, head 8.5 m). If the water contains solids, the vortex model is the safer choice.

What does vortex mean?

The impeller creates a swirl that carries solids through the pump without touching it. The risk of clogging goes down.

Why is the head lower?

The vortex design trades part of the lifting capacity for resistance to clogging. That is why the head is 7 metres instead of the 8.5 metres of the standard model.
