A pump well handles waste water where there is no sewer

The pump well is a complete package for situations where waste water has to be moved on without a gravity sewer. The well handles drainage and surface water, grey water and black toilet waste water. The tank is a 200-litre durable plastic drum fitted with a Staring 2.2 kW grinder pump with an electronic switch.

The product is part of our submersible pump range and complements the other site supplies.

The grinder prevents clogging

The grinder mechanism cuts solids before the impeller, so the pump does not clog on toilet waste or fibres. The electronic switch starts and stops the pump according to the liquid level, which means the well runs by itself.

What the delivery includes

Service was considered at the design stage

The structure of the pump well takes account of the moment when the pump has to be reached. The outlet pipe has a quick coupling, and the pump is lifted out of the well quickly and cleanly without any pipe work. In practice a fault or scheduled service does not mean dismantling the well or making a mess around it – the pump is lifted out, serviced and lowered back in.

The lid has two lifting handles and a vent, that is a pressure equalisation opening, which makes it easier to open the lid and handle the well on site.

Where pump wells are used

The wells are in daily use at festival sites and construction sites and in locations that need a pumping solution of their own. Typical places are site cabins, temporary sanitary facilities and basements where water has to be lifted up into the sewer.

Is the well suitable for toilet waste water?

Yes. The grinder pump cuts solids, so the well is suitable for black waste water as well.

Does the well need a separate control unit?

No. The pump has an electronic switch that starts and stops it according to the liquid level.

Can the inlet size be changed?

The standard inlet is ø110 mm. Other sizes are agreed case by case – tell us what you need when you request a quotation.
