Mobile air-to-air heat pump MW80

Product code (SKU): 804010002

Mobile air-to-air heat pump MW80

A mobile air-to-air heat pump blows warm air into construction sites and other temporary spaces. The plug-in model is quick to install and perfect for temporary needs. Installed outdoors, the heat pump circulates air and warms the interior quickly to the desired temperature.

A mobile air-to-air heat pump works on the same principle as the pumps used in homes, except that here the outdoor and indoor units are in the same package. Hoses (ø 525 mm) are connected to the pump, through which warm air is blown under high pressure from the outdoor unit into the interior, and others that draw air from inside to the pump to be heated. The condensate hose is heated so it cannot freeze.

Mobile heat pump MW80 – how it works

The pump works like household air-to-air heat pumps, but the outdoor and indoor units come in the same package.

Hoses blow warm air into the interior under high pressure. Other hoses, in turn, draw air from inside to the pump for heating.

The condensate hose is heated, so it does not freeze. In addition, the pump produces up to 20 l/h of condensate.

Efficiency, air transfer and model choice

For example, the COPh at +7 °C is 3.06. At -7 °C, the COPh is 2.34.

The high pressure of up to 250 Pa blows the warm air far into the interior. However, corners and bends in the soft fabric hose shorten the transfer distance.

If needed, you can boost the air transfer with duct fans.

For smaller needs, the MW40 is suitable: 42.4 kW and 8000 m³/h. If you also need cooling, see the MWK40.

You can find all models on the mobile air-to-air heat pumps page.

Mobile heat pump MW80 – installation and control

The maximum rated current of the pump is 62 A. Therefore, confirm the required supply with us when you request a quote.

You install the pump on a level, firm base close to the building you heat. In addition, leave 1 m of free space at the sides of the pump.

You control the pump with a web browser. In the portal, you adjust the temperature and fan speed, set alarms and monitor efficiency.

Safety

The pump weighs 2750 kg and measures 3 x 2.3 x 2.35 m. Therefore, use suitable lifting equipment, and make sure the base can carry the load.

The sound level is 70 dB(A), so place the pump away from workstations where possible. A qualified refrigeration technician services the refrigerant circuit.

A qualified electrician makes the electrical connections. You can find the requirements for electrical work on the Tukes website.
