Submersible pump STP2-500 – design and operation

The pump housing is cast iron, which gives excellent wear resistance and high flow capacity. In addition, the impeller is polyurethane.

A 10 mm gap between the impeller and the housing ensures high flow rates and stable pumping, even with water containing solids.

The bottom intake has 10 mm holes that keep larger particles out of the impeller. Furthermore, the thermal protection stops the pump if it overheats.

As a result, the pump can even run dry for a short time without risk of damage.

Submersible pump STP2-500 – maintenance

The pump is designed for easy maintenance. For example, you reach the impeller by opening only three screws.

After muddy water, rinse the pump with clean water. Therefore, sand and sludge do not dry inside the pump.

In addition, keep the pump, hose and rope in the impact-resistant case, so everything is in one place on the next site.

Choosing among our submersible pumps

The STP2-500 set passes 10 mm particles and lifts water to 12 m. For flat suction of clean water, however, the STP2-480DW set suits better, as it removes water down to 1.0 mm.

Submersible pump STP2-500 – safety

The pumped liquid may be up to 40 °C, and the maximum immersion depth is 6 m. Lower the pump into a trench with the included 10 m rope.

Never lift or lower the pump by its power cable; use the rope or handle instead. Keep the plug in a dry place above the water level, and connect the pump to a socket protected by a residual current device (RCD). A qualified electrician carries out repairs and electrical work. The requirements for electrical work are described on the Tukes website.
