The MBerg 48V safety light is a light, battery-backed MBerg worksite luminaire for 48 V lighting. Normally, it works like any MBerg light. During a power failure, however, it switches to its battery pack.

MBerg 48V safety light – operation in a power failure

When the supply fails, the luminaire switches to battery operation and lights for 30 minutes. After that, it switches off automatically.

The battery still holds charge for a second 30-minute lighting period. As a result, there is never a complete blackout on the site.

In addition, the signal light of the smart battery pack shows charging, battery operation and a possible battery fault.

Maintenance and winter use

The battery pack sits under the handle, outside the luminaire body. Therefore, maintenance is easier and faster, because you do not need to disconnect or open the luminaire.

A heating film protects the battery, so it can charge even in freezing temperatures. For example, the flicker-free light is also easy on the eyes during long working days.

MBerg 48V safety light or MBerg 2.0

The newer MBerg 2.0 safety light has a 2600 mAh lithium battery and an off switch. It weighs 0.8 kg, whereas this model weighs 1.1 kg.

Both models connect to the same 48 V system, so they can work side by side on the same site. You place safety lights among the general luminaires.

Safety

The low 48 V voltage reduces the risk of electric shock in wet conditions. However, check the battery status from the signal light regularly so that the backup works when needed.
