The BAU LED strip connects to the HUB 230/48VDC power supply, which features two circuits. Each circuit can power two 20 m strips, meaning a single HUB can run up to 80 meters of continuous LED strip lighting. The system is well suited for demanding environments like shipyards, narrow spaces like staircases, corridors, scaffolding, and other demanding spaces.

The BAU LED 48VDC 20m is a light strip for demanding worksite conditions that runs on 48 V safety extra-low voltage. The ready-made 20 m strip with its connection cable gives even, bright light in damp and narrow spaces.

BAU LED 48VDC 20m – where to use it

The strip is made for places where a normal luminaire does not fit, or where damp increases the risk of electric shock. Examples are shipyards, tunnels, confined spaces, staircases, corridors and scaffolding.

Compared with a 230 V system, extra-low voltage significantly reduces the risk of electric shock. Therefore the strip suits wet and challenging work environments well.

In addition, a continuous line of light improves visibility on walkways and scaffolding. Even light reduces the shadows that often lead to tripping.

Sizing and installation

The strip connects to the HUB 230/48VDC transformer, which has two circuits. Each circuit powers two 20 m strips.

As a result, one transformer runs up to 80 m of strip. Consumption is only 9 W/m, which keeps the load on the transformer light over long projects. Keep the connections dry and protected during installation.

When you have more to light, add transformers and share the strips between them. For example, thanks to the two circuits, a staircase and a floor corridor can be on separate circuits.

Fix the strip evenly on hooks or with cable ties. However, a cable tie must never cover the LED chips.

The strip softens slightly when warm, so do not overtighten the ties. In vertical installations such as staircases, support the strip properly, because it cannot carry its own weight.

For hanging, the Julde multi-use hook works well. Pre-assembled cables speed up commissioning, and you can easily extend the system as work progresses.
