Submersible pump STP2-480DW – how flat suction works

The innovative flat-bottom design lets the pump remove water down to a depth of 1.0 mm. As a result, only a thin film stays on the floor, and it dries quickly.

The built-in non-return valve prevents water from flowing back when the pump stops. Therefore, water in the hose does not run back into the emptied space.

In addition, the rubber base plate protects surfaces from scratches. For example, you can set the pump on a finished floor or the bottom of a pool.

Standard equipment includes thermal protection, a 10 m rope and a hose connector with a 1″ thread. A Storz coupling is available as an option.

The 10 m impact-resistant power cable (3×1.5 mm²) has an approved plug. In addition, the hose is available either as a blue PVC hose or a white braided hose.

All equipment travels in the same plastic storage case, so the pump is ready as soon as you open it.

Choosing among our submersible pumps

The STP2-480DW set is designed for flat suction, and it handles particles up to 6 mm. For sandy and muddy water, however, choose the STP2-500 set.

Submersible pump STP2-480DW – safety

Lower the pump into place with the included rope. The thermal protection protects the motor from overheating.

Never lift or lower the pump by its power cable; use the rope or handle instead. Keep the plug in a dry place above the water level, and connect the pump to a socket protected by a residual current device (RCD). A qualified electrician carries out repairs and electrical work. The requirements for electrical work are described on the Tukes website.
