Völler PIR LED floodlight – how the sensor works

A PIR sensor reacts to the heat radiation of a moving person. The light switches on when someone enters the area, so it does not burn needlessly over an empty yard.

This suits walkways, entrances and warehouse doors. As a result, nobody has to look for a switch in the dark, and people see where they step straight away.

Aim the sensor at the area people approach from. Therefore the light switches on in time.

Power and colour temperature for the site

You make the settings through the cover on the back of the light. The hex key for opening the cover is in the package.

Choose the light colour for the purpose. For example, warm 3000K feels comfortable in break areas, while cool 6000K brings out details and appears brighter.

Lower power is often enough for a narrow corridor or in front of a door. However, choose the highest power for a yard where the light must reach further.

Motion sensor or constant light

If the light must stay on continuously, the same size class without a sensor is the Völler 50W. In addition, the Völler 100W and 200W suit larger sites.

The light has an adjustable bracket for mounting. The 1 m power cable ends in a plug, so a socket must be close by.

Check the supply cable and plug before every use. Take a damaged luminaire out of use until it has been repaired.
