Green LED strip 5m on exit doors

When the strip runs around the door frame, the exit stands out from far away. This also works in dim or dusty spaces.

Five metres go around an ordinary door, so give each exit door its own strip. Also mark the doors people use only in an emergency.

The strong silicone coating is durable even in tough conditions. Thus it withstands the knocks that happen near doors.

Connection and fixing

The strip has a fixed power cord for a 48VDC power supply. For example, use the HUB 48VDC lighting transformer. One transformer can take 80 metres of LED strip.

Fix the strip, for example, with cable ties between the LED chips at about 50 cm intervals. However, do not cover the LED chips.

Also fix the strip firmly, so it does not stretch as it warms up.

For corridors that lead to the exit, choose the green 20 m strip. Both strips can then take power from the same transformer.

Safety

48VDC is a very safe SELV voltage (safety extra-low voltage). Therefore, the strip suits walkways where people can reach it.

However, a qualified electrician connects the transformer to the mains. The requirements are explained on the Tukes website.
