WorkLite 48V 21W Sensor – light and savings

When nobody moves nearby, the light drops to a dimmed level. However, it never switches off completely, so the space is never fully dark.

As soon as someone enters the area, full power returns. As a result, the sensor model saves up to 50 % more energy than a standard WorkLite.

In addition, the dimmed light helps people find their way in long corridors and stairwells.

Suitable spaces and connection

The model suits larger spaces that need a proper work light but see only occasional traffic, for example storerooms and floor corridors.

You connect the light to a 48 V lighting transformer. For example, each of the two outputs of the HUB-48VDC transformer takes up to 24 WorkLite 48VDC lights.

Comparison with other models in the series

For smaller spaces, the series also includes a 12 W Sensor model. For continuous work light, choose the WorkLite 48V 21W without a sensor.

All 48 V models work in the same system. Therefore, you can place sensor models among the standard lights.

WorkLite 48V 21W Sensor – safety

The low 48 V voltage reduces the risk of electric shock in wet and cramped site conditions. Installing the light needs no electrician’s authorisation. However, check the light and leads first, and take a damaged light out of use.

A qualified electrician connects the lighting transformer to the mains. The requirements for electrical work are described on the Tukes website.
