How the Flat connector 48V works

You press the connector around the trunk line and the light’s cable. It then makes contact with the conductors, so you do not need to cut the trunk cable.

As a result, you can add lights exactly where light is needed. Even a long line goes up quickly.

Flat connector 48V – installation

Press the connector closed with flat nose pliers. You can manage without them; however, pliers speed up the work and give an even crimp.

Knipex pliers also suit Scotchlock connectors. For the trunk line, use the 2×2.5 mm² lighting cable, which is easy to handle even in the cold.

After each joint, check that the light comes on. A faulty joint is easiest to fix before the line goes up to the ceiling.

Planning the trunk line

First plan where the lights go, and run the trunk line through those points from the transformer. Then count the connectors from the number of lights.
