Two outputs, two lighting areas

With two outputs, you can split the lighting, for example, between two floors or two work areas. Each output has its own overcurrent protection.

As a result, a tripped protection device cuts only its own line. The other area stays lit, and you can locate the fault easily.

Transformer VMKK-1500 or VMKK-630

First count the lights for the area. If you have max. 20 lights and one line is enough, the smaller single-output VMKK-630 is a simpler option.

However, when you have more lights or need two separately protected lines, choose the Transformer VMKK-1500. Leave spare capacity on the lines for lights you add later.

Transformer VMKK-1500 – installation

A transformer rack mounts the transformer neatly on the wall. It suits both the VMKK-630 and the VMKK-1500, and you screw it to the wall.

You connect the lights to the trunk cable of the line outputs. For the trunk line, for example, use the 2×2.5 mm² lighting cable.

Divide the lights evenly between the lines and stay within 24 lights per line. That way, the protection does not trip unnecessarily.

Transformer VMKK-1500 in 48V lighting

You connect 48-volt work lights to the transformer, for example WorkLite 48V LED work lights. The whole system is covered on the page general lighting with safety extra-low voltage.

Safety extra-low voltage reduces the risk of electric shock in wet conditions. A qualified electrician makes the connections to the mains. You can read more about the requirements for electrical work on the Tukes website.
