Power consumption and network health in real time.
Spine electricity continuously measures each phase’s load, voltage and power. You see where the power goes, which device is consuming it and where the network is unevenly loaded, and you get an alarm before a fuse blows. Spine electricity brings the whole network into one view.
Unbalanced load only shows up once the fuse trips
One phase carries most of the board’s load while another sits nearly empty. No one sees it on site until the overloaded phase trips the fuse mid-shift and the whole board goes dark.
Per-phase load stays a guess until someone visits the site with a meter.
An overload always trips the fuse at the worst time, usually mid-way through the most critical task.
Consumption ends up as a single number for the whole site, even though the bill should be split by contractor.
When the board goes dark, time first goes into finding the fault and only then fixing it.
Spine electricity: four measurements that reveal the network’s condition
All measurement happens at the board the power flows through — no separate clamp meters or site visits needed.
- Voltage Electrical equipment needs a stable, correctly sized voltage. Spine detects unusual over- or undervoltage and raises the alarm before sensitive equipment is damaged.
- Current An overloaded network leads to a tripped fuse and an outage. Spine shows you the per-phase load and lets you set an alarm threshold that warns proactively.
- Per-phase load An unevenly loaded network burns out on one phase, even when the total load looks moderate. Spine reveals the imbalance immediately.
- Power and consumption When a single device or machine is connected to the board, you see exactly how much it consumes — useful, for example, when choosing between an electric and a diesel heater.
Consumption, cost and emissions broken down by area
A report can be scoped to the whole site or part of it, for example just the site offices or a single contractor’s area.
Energy report
Energy consumption and alarms for a chosen period, for the whole site or part of it. Ready to attach to documentation.
Cost and spot price
The electricity price can be set as fixed or tracking the spot price, so the cost shown is actual, not an estimate.
CO₂ emissions
Emissions are calculated from consumption, so the figure is ready whenever a client or an environmental certification asks for it.
What Spine electricity alerts you to, and what it handles itself
Alarms arrive by text message and email. Thresholds are configured in the app to match the site.
Beyond measuring, Spine also controls: devices and lighting can be switched on and off remotely or on a schedule. See Control.

The device’s paperwork lives with the device
The Spine service stores each device’s inspection and test records, manuals and site drawings. They’re still there a year later, even if the folder is long gone and the installer has changed.
- Inspection and test records Commissioning inspections and measurement reports are stored directly against the device.
- Manuals and maintenance instructions The same instructions for everyone using the device on site, shift after shift.
- Site drawings and riser diagrams A real-time riser diagram is generated automatically, and you can upload your own drawings alongside it.
- The whole project’s history Data and documents are kept for the project’s entire lifecycle, even after the site is finished.

Is the energy metering MID-approved?
MID-approved energy metering is available as an optional add-on, for when consumption is used as the basis for billing. Read more about the EU Measuring Instruments Directive (MID).
Can Spine show a single device’s consumption?
Yes. When a single device or machine is connected to the board, its consumption can be read separately. This means, for example, comparing heating solutions is based on measured data.
Is the riser diagram generated automatically?
Yes. Spine builds the site’s electrical riser diagram in real time, and you can upload your own drawings, test reports and manuals alongside it.
Can consumption be allocated to contractors?
Yes. A report can be scoped to part of a site, for example one contractor’s area or the site offices, so the cost can be split according to actual consumption.
Other Spine areas
All data flows into the same Spine app, so areas can be freely combined within the same site.
